ABOUT
My name is Jessica Brim Schumacher and I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. As a graphic designer, I have designed logos, invitations, advertisements, and posters. As a maker, I have created products, models, package design, and toys. As a teacher, I have developed playful ways to learn, built interactive, immersive environments, and tailored activities for unique and diverse learning styles.
Experience
Graphic Design
I have experience designing logos, advertisements, posters and event signage that have helped create a unique identity and communicate messages effectively to their target audience. While being consistent and focusing on a quality product, I often try to add humor and elements of delight into my design.
Tools for Learning
As a teacher for young children, I spent hours observing each of my students interests and abilities. I crafted lessons to promote social/emotional learning, spark imagination, inspire curiosity and encourage children to learn through exploration. Many of my techniques involved movement, science, engineering and music.
Research
I excel in conducting interviews, research, and synthesis to comprehend clients' industries, user needs, and ecosystems. This expertise enables me to craft impactful design solutions tailored to meet both my clients' requirements and the needs of their target users or patients.
Volunteer
Work
As a volunteer, I've collaborated in teams for large-scale events, orchestrated space-themed summer camps, initiated an annual community talent showcase, and successfully fundraised for global artisans, benefiting non-profit organizations.
